FWST: TCU visits Texas as another Zahna Medley milestone looms

TCU isn’t getting caught up in the fact that senior guard Zahna Medley is a mere 18 points from unseating Sandora Irvin as the school’s all-time leading scorer.
The Horned Frogs can’t afford to, coach Raegan Pebley said, whose Horned Frogs (15-12, 7-9 Big 12) travel to Austin to face No. 8 Texas on Saturday.
“The focus is on helping Zahna get more wins with her team,†Pebley said. “That’s all she wants. Records and things like that will take care of themselves if we take care of the little things as a team.â€
Besides that, the Longhorns’ depth and defense are giving opponents more than enough to concentrate on. Texas (25-2, 14-2) allows opponent just over 54 points a game and balances its offensive attack so opposing defenses have a hard time keying on one or two primary scorers. …
