FWST: TCU gets work for new arms, bats in 17-3 rout of Arkansas-Pine Bluff

Early-season midweek games are for at-bats and innings, and TCU got them and more in a 17-3 victory Wednesday night against Arkansas-Pine Bluff at Lupton Stadium.
Freshman right-hander Devon Roedahl won his first college start, freshman left fielder Josh Watson went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, and veteran third baseman Elliott Barzilli was 4-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs to continue a hot start.
But there was also a chance to see infield defense at work.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff began the game with two bunt hits, and Roedahl threw away a pickoff throw. The result was a 3-0 deficit for the Horned Frogs (3-1) before they rallied. …
