Medley Named CollegeSportsMadness Big 12 POW
FORT WORTH, Texas — TCU senior All-America candidate Zahna Medley has been named the College Sports Madness Big 12 Conference Player of the Week, it was announced by the outlet on Monday morning. Over the weekend, Medley set the TCU career three-point mark and helped the Frogs secure their third straight league win with a 79-65 win over No. 17 Oklahoma State.
Medley nailed her 297th three-point field goal of her TCU career to set the mark with 6:32 to go in the second quarter vs. OSU that gave TCU the lead for good at 29-28 and sparked a 9-0 run that helped the Frogs pull ahead and gain momentum on their way to the win. Medley finished with 20 points on the day, her third game in four outings with at least 19 points, to pace the Horned Frogs.
Medley had 13 points and six rebounds in just 28 minutes at Kansas on Wednesday night in the largest win over a Big 12 Conference foe in program history. Against, Oklahoma State, Medley had 20 points, three assists and three steals.
TCU (15-11, 7-8) travels to West Virginia on Wednesday night to take on the Mountaineers in Morgantown. Tipoff is set for 6:00 p.m. CT on Wednesday evening.
