Ames Tribune: Turnovers plague ISU in loss to TCU

The Iowa State women’s basketball team couldn’t hold onto the basketball and in the process couldn’t get past TCU.

The Cyclones committed 17 turnovers, setting up 16 Horned Frog points, as TCU won 79-69 on Saturday afternoon.

“That’s terrible,” coach Bill Fennelly said on the Cyclone Radio Network postgame show.

ISU fell behind 21-12 in the first quarter as TCU shot 50.0 percent in the frame.

“I don’t know what the problem was,” Fennelly said. “They did exactly what we practiced against, and we did exactly the opposite.”
