Welcome to the new Killerfrogs.com

On Wednesday, December 16, 2015 my co-partner in Killerfrogs.com, Scott Nix, unexpectedly passed away. Scott was a friend to all and very much a best friend to me. His humor, love of life, love of all things TCU and most of all his love of family will be missed. To say they broke the mold when Scott was born, is an understatement. There has never been and may never be another fan quite like him.

One of the many things that Scott and I had talked about in our 9 year business partnership was where we wanted to take Killerfrogs.com. There were many differences of opinion, friendly of course, but there was one consensus. We wanted to give TCU fans the best dedicated web site on the internet.

Through the years of “hashing things out”, looking at various sites for inspiration and talking to other site owners, we came up with a vision for Killerfrogs.com. What you see here today is another step towards bringing that vision to life.

It started with the inclusion of videos, which we did as a pre-game exercise. The next step was to bring a live, streaming video show from a local sports bar. Then we employed live streaming capability and brought half time segments to the TCU fan.

We associated with USA Today and are now part of their digital network and through that association, we were able to associate with Campus Insiders. The advantage to both of those associations is the availability of their content, both written and video. With increased content via feeds, we brought in new writers to provide TCU centric articles.

The next step was to increase our video and/or audio capability and we are honored that the Frog Cast has now joined Killerfrogs.com and will streaming their popular podcast through our site. Soon, we’ll be offering brief 5 minute podcasts that bring you additional insight into the world of TCU athletics.

Our popular show, The Killerfrogs Hour, will continue next football season and while we will dearly miss Scott and his way of bring out the best of our various guests, nothing will change. We have increased our video capability with the acquisition of two new cameras that give us greater flexibility and a more “studio like” feel to the show.

So what else are we up to? Well, you’ll just have to wait and see but we think it will be worth it. Lets just say that what we are unveiling today, is just another step along the way but the next step will be a big one so stay tuned.

Well thats it. We hope that you like it and I hope that we’ll be able to help you lower your office productivity even more in the weeks and months to come.

One last thing. This is for you Scott. We wanted to carry out the vision for you and I hope that we did you proud.

Go Frogs
