MOBILE, Ala.Â â€“ TCU running back Aaron Green certainly wasnâ€™t the most intriguing prospect at the Senior Bowl. That distinction belonged to North Dakota State quarterback Carson Wentz, or possibly Eastern Kentucky defensive end Noah Spence.
But Green had a solid showing on Saturday afternoon, and is hopeful that can boost his stock. Green scored the gameâ€™s first points on a nifty 25-yard touchdown run, starting between the tackles before finding room to run on the outside.
â€œIt was just a one-back power, so I was just being patient and letting my eyes do all the work,â€ Green said. â€œI saw the guard pull, saw him get that block, so I cut inside of him and after that I just let Aaron Green be Aaron Green, and do what I had to do to get in the end zone.â€
That proved to be his highlight play, finishing with 36 rushing yards on five carries. He also had a catch for minus-2 yards. …
