’17 WR Omar Manning talks with KF.C

Lancaster WR Omar Manning has an expanding list of offers including TCU, Texas A&M, Oklahoma and Texas Tech.  After signing 10 wide receivers in the last two classes, TCU fans are expecting a selective and lean class to sign a year from now.  KillerFrogs caught up with Manning to hear his thoughts on TCU and the recruitment process.

“I’m looking for a school where I can make an impact and where I can excel off the field as well.  My impression of TCU is that they’re a great program and that I fit their system.”

Manning is receiving the full court press from the coaching staff.  Not only is he in contact with Coach Patterson, Manning is being recruited by Running Backs Coach and closer Curtis Luper.  He is also the second recruit in a week to mention he is being recruited by Zarnell Fitch, the latest addition to the coaching staff.  Fitch is familiar with the Lancaster program after his time as head coach at Dallas Lincoln.

When asked what Frog fans could expect from Manning if he landed at TCU he replied, “They could expect a hard worker who’s a great person, has great character, will learn the offense and work his hardest for the team and the school.”

Projected to make his commitment this spring, he says that date could move up or be delayed.  He is just waiting for the right time.  Keep your eyes open the last weekend of February when he will be attending Jr. Day at TCU, which happens to be the first day of spring practice.

Watch Manning’s video below.  His ability to high point the ball is well suited for the TCU offense.  He has strong hands and the ability to create space with corners commissioned to shut him down.  Will TCU land Manning?  Keep an eye on KillerFrogs for the latest updates.
