The Horned Frogs’ coach is one of 20 finalists for the 2017 Jim Phelan National Coach of the Year Award, given annually to the nation’s top Division I coach. Dixon has led the Horned Frogs (22-15) to Tuesday’s NIT semifinals after taking over a team that finished 12-21 last season.
