TCU 9th Possession (3Q 7:44)

3rd and 12: Long pass dropped, Gray in coverage, but the receiver was there to make the catch

1st and 10, TCU 45: Screen setup for Hicks, but the pass is high and behind him and Hicks stumbles while making the catch, 5 yard loss on the play
2nd and 15: Pass to Taj Williams complete, tripped up and downed by contact after a pickup of 6

1st and 10, ISU 40: Long pass to the end zone to Porter…. CATCH AND TD TCU!!! REVIEW… looking at if he came down short of the end zone… reply in the booth looks like he’s down at the 1… CALL catch complete, but a foot short.

1st and 10, ISU 11: WR screen picked up, Small and Gray tackle for a loss of 2 yards
2nd and 12: Long pass complete out to midfield, but FLAG… PI on Offense…
2nd and 17, ISU 4: ISU tries to setup a screen, the entire Frog line sniffs it out and the ball is incomplete over the head of the intended receiver
3rd and 17: Handoff up the middle, Summers on the stop, gain of 3 yards… TIMEOUT TCU
4th and 14: PUNT… Turpin is back… rugby style kick downed at the TCU 45

4th and 1: TCU lined up to go for it before the TO by ISU… Going for it… Hicks right at the line… ISU says they stopped him… going to be VERY close… MEASUREMENT… FIRST DOWN TCU!
1st and 10, ISU 20: Pass to Diarse, good block by Hicks to bring him, gain of 5… FLAG… PF Unsportsmanlike conduct on ISU

2nd and 1: Another keeper, McFarland isn’t able to make the tackle, 2 yard gain
1st and Goal, TCU 8: Lanning with the keeper, able to pull himself into the end zone, McFarland misses the tackle again. TD ISU (TCU 10, ISU 7)

TCU 4th Possession (1Q 2:24)

1st and 10. TCU 8: Hicks with the handoff, gain of just 2
2nd and 8: WR screen, pass high for Porter, loss of 1 (down by contact)
3rd and 7: Hill with the keeper, isn’t able to get the first down, gain of just 6
4th and 3: PUNT… FLAG on TCU… 5 yards… line drive punt, but Cyd Calvin is there to trip the ISU receiver up and a loss of 2 on the return

ISU 4th Possession (1Q 5:24)

1st and 10, ISU 44: Handoff up the middle for just 2
2nd and 8: QB flushed out and pass is incomplete downfield
3rd and 8: Short pass out to the left edge, Caraway unable to wrap up and it goes for 12 yards and a first down
1st and 10, TCU 43: INJURY TIMEOUT ISU… SACK… Curry almost had him for a big loss, but he was able to wiggle loose, loss of 2
2nd and 12: Handoff ran right into Curry, no gain
3rd and 12: ISU setting up a screen, Summers sniffs it out and makes a great open field tackle for a 2 yard loss
4th and 14: PUNT… Turpin back, calls for a fair catch and lets it go, downed at the 8 (caught by ISU player in the air)

Kickoff (1Q 5:32): Received at the 1, Frogs are out of position and he breaks out to the left side and finally driven out of bounds at the ISU 44 by the kicker.

TCU 3rd Possession (1Q 5:45)

1st and 10, TCU 36: Handoff Hicks who slips through the line and has a lead blocker downfield… HE’S GONE!!! TD TCU! Frogs 10, ISU 0

ISU 3rd Possession (1Q 7:13)

NOTE: new QB for ISU, Jacob Park

1st and 10, ISU 12: Handoff to Warren, Small stops him after 3
2nd and 7: ISU shifts three to the right side where they run right into Summers (!)
3rd and 6: Pass into the dirt, Park under pressure.
4th and 6, ISU 16: PUNT… Turpin back… punts away from Turpin (smart) and the ball is downed at the TCU 36

TCU 2nd Possession (1Q 7:56)

1st and 10, TCU 34: Green in at RB… handoff to Green running left, picks up 4
2nd and 6: Pass behind Austin, incomplete
3rd and 6: Pass to Slanina hits him in the hands and he drops it.
4th and 6: PUNT… nice punt, taken at the 12 and Douglas makes sure that’s all. 50 yards on the punt, -1 on the return.

ISU 2nd Possession (1Q 11:48)

1st and 10, ISU 25: Pass out to the right, gain of 7, Small and Summers on the tackle
2nd and 3: Run up the middle by Warren, Howard on the stop after a gain of 8
1st and 10, ISU 46: Another hard run by Warren for a gain of 12
1st and 10, TCU 48: Another run, gain of 2
2nd and 8: Warren off tackle, Curry brings him down before he can break loose
3rd and 5: Pressure forces the QB out but he’s able to pickup the first down before Summers upends him at the sticks
1st and 10: Keeper, short gain
2nd and 7, TCU 34: Handoff, Howard and Summers in on the stop, no gain
3rd and 7: Pass dropped incomplete short of the yard to gain
4th and 7: Going for it… pressured, flushed out of the pocket, ISU has a man open but the QB can’t get it to him and the ball is off the receivers fingertips (would have been a first down). TURNOVER… TCU ball on their 34.

TCU 1st Possession (1Q 14:06)

1st and 10, TCU 40: Quick pass out to Porter for 10 yards
1st and 10, midfield: 9 yard rush by Hicks
2nd and 1: Hicks again with a sweet move to make the first defender whiff, and he picks up the first down and more, 17 yard gain
1st and 10, ISU 25: Hicks gets his number called again, but this time he’s brought down after 3
2nd and 7: Off balance thrown out to Taj Williams who makes a great diving one handed catch, gain of 7
1st and 10, ISU 15: FLAG… False start on Hicks.
1st and 15: Hill will a lazy pass out to the edge, nearly picked off
2nd and 15: Fade to the end zone to Turpin (you read the right) but overthrown
3rd and 15: Fade to Porter is under thrown and dropped in the end zone.
4th and 15, ISU 20: FG attempt, 37 yard attempt… GOOD, TCU strikes first, 3-0 Frogs
