The site listed odds for the 21 schools most likely to earn CFP berths and three were from the Big 12. TCU, which placed 16th among the 21 schools considered the most likely playoff candidates, was joined by Oklahoma (7-4), which received the second-best odds nationally. Oklahoma State (7-1) checked in at No. 12.
Alabama, the defending national champion, topped the list with 3-2 odds. Oklahoma was second. Rounding out the top five were Michigan (9-5), Clemson (2-1) and Ohio State (2-1).
In regard to the likelihood of each Power 5 conference producing this season’s national champion, the odds fell this way: SEC (2-1), ACC (7-2), Big Ten (4-1), Big 12 (5-1) and Pac-12 (7-1).
