Omaha World-Herald: Millard West graduate Ryan Merrill returns to Omaha as TCU’s starting shortstop

Ryan Merrill says it won’t seem real until he’s in his hotel room unpacking his bags.
Then he’ll know — he’s actually made it to the College World Series.
The Millard West graduate and TCU’s starting shortstop is still in shock that he’ll be playing on college baseball’s biggest stage. The Horned Frogs open play at 2 p.m. Sunday against Texas Tech.
“It’s the greatest feeling ever,’’ Merrill said. “It’s been my dream ever since I’ve been a kid watching those dogpiles.’’
