DMN: Sophomore receiver vaults up to top-10 status in TCU roster rankings

The end of the countdown is near.

Picking out 25 players on this TCU roster to rank is quite the task. We’re giving it our best shot this week as we move on to Nos. 10-6 below. This full list includes names of early enrollees from the 2016 recruiting class.

10. James McFarland / senior / defensive end / McFarland, one of the many key losses before or during the season, didn’t play a single snap in 2015 because of a foot injury. He led the team in sacks with seven in 2014, which was a season he capped with defensive MVP honors at the Peach Bowl. McFarland also registered 12 tackles for loss that year. But McFarland is still in a battle for his starting job at right end as junior Matt Boesen is putting up a serious fight. Too many talented DEs is a pretty good problem for TCU to have. …
