FORT WORTH - No. 6 TCU will wrap up its seven game road swing with a three game series at Wichita State starting Friday night at 6:30. The Horned Frogs have a 2-2 record through the first four games.

TCU NOTABLES
• On Tuesday, head coach Jim Schlossnagle coached his 900th career game, leading TCU to a win.
• TCU has scored four or more runs in an inning 21 times this season. TCU has scored multiple runs in a frame 46 times.
.• TCU is the lone school in the Big 12 with a batting average over .300 at .315. Additionaly, it is the only squad with a .400 on-base percentage at .410.
• The Horned Frogs also pace the Big 12 with 58 doubles and 12 triples, while ranking second with 19 home runs.
• Thirteen of TCU’s 19 home runs have come with runners on base.
• Elliott Barzilli paces the league with 41 hits and ranks second with a .456 batting average. The average ranks ninth nationally.
• Brian Howard pitched his first career complete game on Friday. He ranks third in the Big 12 with 38 1/3 innings pitched.
• Cam Warner owns a 13-game hitting streak. He extended the streak with a four-hit game Tuesday.

WICHITA STATE NOTABLES
• Wichita State is coming off a midweek series sweep of Stephen F. Austin.
• The Shockers outscored the Lumberjacks 22-6.
• Wichita State is 1-5 in weekend series this season.
• Wichita State is 0-2 against the Big 12 this season, dropping a midweek contest at Oklahoma and against Oklahoma State.
• Offensively, the Shockers are led by Mikel Mucha (.318) and Tanner Kirk (.317).
• Seven different players have contributed to the team’s 13 home runs. Gunnar Troutwine and Greyson Jenista each have three.
• On the mound the staff has a 5.44 ERA with 196 strikeouts.
• Clayton McGinness leads the team with 13 appearances, four of which have been starts.

TWO-OUT TOUGHNESS
TCU scored 17 runs in Tuesday’s win over UT Arlington. Of those 17 runs, 15 of them came with two outs in the inning.

Scoring has been a specialty of the Horned Frogs this season, but even more so with two outs. TCU has tallied 84 two-out runs, which is 42% of the total runs scored this season. TCU is hitting .314 with two outs this season. Josh Watson paces the Frogs with 12 two-out RBIs. Conversly, TCU has allowed just 29 two-out runs.

FRESH FACES
The TCU lineup has featured seven new faces, while 10 new faces have shown up on the mound.

The group has produced at a high rate in helping TCU to a 19-5 start on the year. At the plate, they have produced a .296 batting average with 23 doubles, seven triples and 10 home runs. Additionally, they’ve driven in 87 runs.

On the mound, the group has an 11-3 record to go along with a 3.22 ERA in 134.0 innings pitched. Additionally, they have tallied 134 strikeouts and issued just 41 walks.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN
TCU is in a stretch where it plays 10 of 11 games away from Lupton Stadium. Through five road games, TCU has a 3-2 record. Overall, the Frogs are 6-2 away from Lupton Stadium this season.

Thursday’s game against Texas was the first game the Horned Frogs had played in a city not named Houston or Fort Worth.

Elliott Barzilli leads the team with a .500 average in the five road games. As a whole, the team is hitting just .284 in road games. On the mound, TCU has a 3.77 ERA. Opponents are hitting .245 against the staff.

TALL ORDER
Brian Howard is one of the veterans on the pitching staff this season. He’s one of just five members of the team that has been at TCU since the 2014 season.

On Friday, Howard turned in his first career complete game and fanned a career-high nine batters. Howard leads the team with 38 1/3 innings pitched this season and 38 strikeouts. His 2.35 ERA is the 10th best in the Big 12. Howard is 4-1 this year in his six starts.
