FWST: Frogs bow out to KU in Big 12 tournament
OKLAHOMA CITY – Zahna Medley, TCU’s all-time leading scorer, was held to 10 points on 2-of-11 shooting and the Horned Frogs were routed by Kansas 81-64 in the first round of the Big 12 women’s tournament.
The Jayhawks (6-24) finished the regular season 0-18 in Big 12 play but had given TCU a scare in the regular season finale Monday in Fort Worth before falling 55-52.
The Frogs (16-14) will wait for a postseason invitation. They almost certainly needed to win the conference tournament to reach the NCAA Tournament. Kansas will face Texas at 6 tonight.
