OVER THE FENCE
TCU has seven home runs in its first seven games of the year. TCU didn’t hit its seventh home run unit game No. 20 in 2015. The six home runs are the third-most in the Big 12 this season.

TCU enters Friday night’s game having hit a home run in six straight games. It’s the first time since the 2012 season that TCU has put together a stretch that long. From May 20-June 9, the Frogs homered in 11 straight contests.

NO RUNS FOR YOU
TCU’s new-look pitching staff picked up where it left off a year ago. After surrendering five runs in the season opener, the group has allowed just five runs over the last seven games.

They have notched four shutouts this season. TCU’s 28 shutouts since the start of the 2014 season are tops in the NCAA.

TCU has limited opponents to two or fewer runs 85 times over the last 140 games played. The staff has surrendered five or more runs just 34 times.

AS ADVERTISED
Luken Baker has splashed onto the collegiate scene. In his first eight games played, the freshman has reached base safely in all eight and has turned in two quality starts on the mound.

Offensively, he’s hitting .333 with a double and two home runs in addition to driving in eight runs.

On the mound, he’s fired off 12 shutout innings to begin his pitching career. Baker leads the team with 13 strikeouts and is limiting opponents to a .122 batting average.

RUNNING WILD
After getting just two stolen bases in the first three games, TCU exploded with 13 in the last five games.

Over the last two seasons, TCU has been one of the most prolific base-stealing teams. The Horned Frogs are one of just eight teams to have stolen over 200 bases over the last 2+ seasons. The 226 stolen bases ranks fifth in the nation.

LOCKING IT DOWN
TCU’s bullpen, full of new faces in 2016, has been dynamic through the first eight games of the season.

The group of 10 has yet to surrender an earned run in 27 2/3 innings pitched. They have given up two unearned runs on eight hits, walked 13 and struck out 29.
