FORT WORTH, Texas —  TCU returns home on Wednesday night to face No. 4/4 Baylor in Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday night. The game will be televised by Fox Sports Southwest with Chuck LaMendola (play-by-play) and TCU great Janice Dziuk (analyst) on the call. The game is available on the radio via KTCU 88.7 FM in the DFW Metroplex and through GoFrogs.com with Jeff Williams (play-by-play) on the call.

Baylor represents the eighth ranked opponent that TCU has faced in its last 20 games, including three different teams ranked in the top 6 nationally this season and fourth overall. Baylor has been ranked in the top seven nationally in every meeting between TCU and Baylor since the Frogs joined the Big 12 Conference.

TCU senior All-American candidate Zahna Medley leads the Frogs with 15.5 points per game and is shooting 43.4 percent from the field and 41.0 percent from three-point range. Medley now ranks second in TCU history in career points and needs 116 to tie and 117 to break Sandora Irvin’s TCU career scoring mark. Medley moved into second place on the career scoring list on Jan. 30 at Oklahoma State. Medley passed TCU great Helena Sverrisdottir on the all-time scoring list with a jumper in the lane with 8:46 to go in the game that pushed her past Sverrisdottir’s 1,764 career total. Medley also needs just 10 three-point field goals to tie Jill Sutton for the top mark in TCU history. She already ranks second in program history in career assists and needs just 35 more to become the second player in TCU history to dish out 500 assists in a career.

Wednesday’s game is National Girls and Women in Sports Day for TCU Women’s Basketball. National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) began in 1987 as a special day in our nation’s capital to recognize women’s sports. The day united premiere organizations and elite female athletes to bring national attention to the promise of girls and women in sports. In 1987, NGWSD also served as a remembrance of Olympic volleyball player, Flo Hyman, for her athletic achievements and dedication to promoting equality for women’s sports; Hyman died of Marfan’s Syndrome in 1986. NGWSD has since evolved into an event to acknowledge the accomplishments of female athletes, the positive influence of sports participation and the continuing struggle for equality for women in sports.

NGWSD is celebrated annually across all 50 states with community-based events, award ceremonies and other celebratory activities. NGWSD is organized by the members of the National Girls & Women in Sports Day Coalition. Champion women athletes have also contributed to annual NGWSD activities.

• Baylor has been ranked in the top seven nationally in every meeting between TCU and Baylor since the Frogs joined the Big 12 Conference.

ALL-AMERICAN CANDIDATE Zahna Medley
• Medley is the fourth player in TCU women’s basketball history and the sixth player in the combined history of TCU men’s basketball and women’s basketball to record at least 300 points in all 4 seasons playing as a Horned Frog.
• Medley is one of two players in Big 12 Conference history to score 1,500 points, hit 250 three-point field goals, dish out 400 assists and get 125 or more steals in their career. The only other player to achieve the feat is current Dallas Wings star and former Baylor guard Odyssey Sims.

FACING THE RANKED
Head coach Raegan Pebley is 2-10 against ranked opponents since becoming the head coach of the Horned Frogs. The mark includes an 0-4 record against teams in the top five.

RANKINGS LEFTOVERS
• TCU faced six ranked teams before the end of the month of January. It is the first time in program history that TCU has played six ranked teams in a season before the month of January ends.
• TCU is 0-7 against ranked teams this season.
• TCU has faced three different teams ranked in the top 6 nationally this season.
• With a second game against current ranked teams Texas, Baylor and West Virginia still on the 2015-16 schedule, the Frogs are in line to face a record number of ranked foes in 2015-16. TCU faced 10 ranked foes during the 2005-06 season. It faced nine ranked foes in 2012-13 and 2013-14. TCU has previously faced seven or more ranked foes in 1994-95, 2005-06, 2010-11, 2012-13 and 2013-14.

RACE TO THE TOP CONTINUES FOR MEDLEY
Zahna Medley now ranks second in TCU history in career points and needs 116 to tie and 117 to break Sandora Irvin’s TCU career scoring mark.

MEDLEY MOVING UP BIG 12 LIST
Senior Zahna Medley passed TCU assistant coach and Texas legend Edwina Brown on the all-time Big 12 Conference scoring list on Jan. 20 against Texas with her three-point field goal early in the first quarter that gave Medley her fifth point on the day.

Medley joined elite company on Nov. 24, 2015 against Prairie View A&M when she became the 45th player to score 1,500 career points as a player in the Big 12 Conference. The list includes current TCU assistant coach and recruiting coordinator Edwina Brown.

• Medley became the 5th player in TCU women’s basketball history to reach the 1,500 career point mark.
• Medley became the 14th player in the combined history of TCU women’s basketball and TCU men’s basketball to reach the 1,500 career point mark when she surpasses the mark.

MEDLEY LEFTOVERS
• Medley is quickly approaching the 500 assist mark for her career. No player in the nation currently has 1,500 career points and 500 career assists but Minnesota’s Rachel Banham, Medley and Austin Peay’s Tiasha Gray are all close to reaching the mark, having already reached 1,500 career points.
• Medley’s 114 career starts rank in a tie for 4th on the TCU career scoring list. If she starts the remainder of the regular season games and TCU’s first Big 12 Conference Tournament game, she would have 122 starts to her credit and rank second in TCU history behind Helena Sverrisdottir who started 127 games from 2007-11.
• Medley’s 116 career appearances are close to placing her in the top 10 in program history for career games played. The school record is 135 by Adrianne Ross from 2003-08. If she appears in the remainder of the regular season games and TCU’s first Big 12 Conference Tournament game, she would have 124 career appearances and rank ninth on the all-time TCU list.
• Medley has scored in double figures or had at least three assists in every game this season and in all but four games of her career (112-of-116).
• Medley has knocked down at least three three-point field goals in 15-of-22 games this season. She accomplished the feat nine times last season and has done it 48 times in her career.

FROGS’ 3-POINT SUCCESS AMONG BEST IN BIG 12 CONFERENCE HISTORY
TCU’s 38.3 percent shooting clip in 2015-16 is among the best in Big 12 Conference history. The Frogs are trying to finish among the top 10 in the nation in three point shooting to become the first team since Oklahoma in 2012-13 to finish in the top 10 nationally in three-point field goal shooting.

Overall, 14 teams have finished in the top 10 nationally in three-point field goal percentage from the Big 12 Conference.

THREE WITH 800 CAREER POINTS
TCU has three players with 800 or more career points on its active roster. Zahna Medley and Veja Hamilton each have reached the mark while at TCU while Destynee Hives-McCray has achieved the mark during her career between her accomplishments at both TCU and SMU. TCU is the only team in the Big 12 Conference with multiple players with over 800 career points on their roster.

HAMILTON LEFTOVERS
• Hamilton needs 16 rebounds to reach 500 for her career.
